Description

Mid 18th century with later alterations. 2-storey and attic house with gable end to Deveronside. Harled, painted margins. Regular 2-bay fenestration to street gable including pair small attic lights. Irregular and much altered N elevation with additional flat roofed wing, re-sited entrance and garage, all masked by high coped walls. Varied glazing. Coped end stacks; slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Plaque on street gable reads:- 'Thomas Edward, 1814-1886, The Banff Naturalist lived here'. Listed for contribution made by gable end to street-scape.
