BOTHY: 19th century. Single pitch rubble bothy with former boiler house (to heat vinery) and wallhead chimney stacks.

VINERY: possibly early l9th century. Glazed single pitch greenhouse with late l9th century cast-iron brattishing.

Statement of Interest

A-Group with Duff House, Fife Gates, Walled Garden, Collie Lodge, Mausoleum, Ice House, Bridge Gates House and the Eagles Gate Lodge.

John Clerk's topographical print of Banff reveals the walled garden in present form with 2 lean-to greenhouses against S facing wall. Garden formerly within Duff House policies, but now separated by modern road.

Bricks retained heat, conserving warmth in S facing walls for fruit growing. Bricks probably came from the late l8th century Blackpots Brick and Tile works, Whitehills.
