Description

Early to mid 19th century warehouse; 4-storey, 5 bays. Rubble, tooled rubble dressings. Regular facade to Quayside with some alteration to ground floor. Arched entrances in ground floor bays 2 and 4; elsewhere regular fenestration, larger in lst and 2nd floors and longer in centre bays (former hoist doors). Modern multi-pane glazing, centre top floor window fronted by small cast-iron balcony.

REAR: access from Sheriffs Brae to 2nd floor with modern glazed porch. Also stair to porch from rear of building.Broad end stacks; slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Building restored during the l980s; it accommodates engineering workshops and showrooms in the ground floor and lst floor, an art gallery in the 2nd and flatted dwelling in 3rd floor.
