Description

Late 19th century. Single storey and attic, 3-bay house possibly

incorporating earlier core. Harled, ashlar margins. Centre entrance with consoled cornice and panelled door; narrow flanking windows; canted wallhead dormers in outer bays; modern plate glass glazing.

Coped end stacks; flat skews with run-off moulded skewputts (possibly re-used); slate roof.

REAR GARDEN WALL: rubble rear wall heightened in brick, partially fronting Gardiner's Brae.

Statement of Interest

Though stylistically a house of late 19th century date, the narrow windows and circa 1800 shaped skewputt suggest that an earlier house has been remodelled. Modern garage not included in listing.

Corner site with Gardiner's Brae. B Group with Nos 3-12 Sandyhill Road.
