Mid 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 2-bay house now with shop at ground (form unaltered), and 2-storey, 3-bay (above ground) pair of houses with original shops at ground, in irregular terrace. Ashlar and squared rubble with stone cills. Deep base and eaves courses.
SE ELEVATIONS:
NO 25: timber door in bay to left of centre with single barred window to right and broad fascia above worded 'The Barbers Chair'; 1st floor with bipartite window to left and further window to right, flat-roofed dormer window above.
NOS 27 AND 29: part-glazed, 2-leaf timber doors to 2 centre bays at ground with enlarged fixed display windows in flanking bays, broad fascia above and 3 windows to 1st floor.
10-, 12- and 15-pane glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows. Concrete pantiles, slate eaves easing course to No 25. Coped ashlar stacks with cans.
Listed particularly for group value with Nos 31-35 North Street. Formerly slated, the pantiles were added in 1979.
