Description

Walter MacFarlane & Co, founders, Glasgow. Dated 1903.
Elaborate cast-iron fountain. Pedestal with large lion
mask to each cavetto face, storks above supporting shaft of
upper basin; single stork acts as upper jet.
All set with low quatrefoil basin.

Statement of Interest

The gift of Robert Duke of Bearehill (inscribed plaque).

Inauguration ceremony 26th October 1903.
