Description

Dated 1841. Single storey, later heightened as dormerless
attic, 3-bay E facing house. Squared tooled rubble, tooled
ashlar dressings; rendered and lined as ashlar S gable
(to main road). Centre entrance with simple panelled and
and pilastered doorpiece, panelled door. 4-pane glazing.
Coped end stacks; slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Panelled lintel inscribed JAMES 1841 COWIE. Similar

doorpieces found in Buckpool dated between 1812 and 1839.
