Description

1820-25. Single storey and attic, pair cottages with 5-bay
frontage to Grant Street, No 4 returning 3 bays to North
Deskford Street. Harled rubble, painted tooled ashlar
margins. Entrances in bays 2 and 4 with panelled doors under
fanlights with decorative glazing; 3 windows to North
Deskford Street, of which one is blind. Later 19th century
gabled dormer at rear and substantial canted dormer to North
Deskford Street. 12-pane glazing in ground floor windows,
4-pane in dormers. Cope ridge and end stacks; piended Welsh
slate roofs.
No 2 Grant Street linked to Cullen House entrance by length
of harled wall surmounted by cast-iron spearhead brattishing
and with entrance to rear court.

Statement of Interest

Nos 2 and 4 Grant Street similar to Nos 1 and 4 opposite,

both flanking entrance to Cullen House.
