Description

Mid 19th century. Single storey, asymmetrical 3-bay gate
lodge. Harled, painted tooled ashlar margins. Centre entrance
in W front (to drive) flanked at left by slightly advanced
gabled bay with projecting canted window; bipartite at right
and in S gable. Hoodmoulded tripartite in N gable (to road);
small slit lights in gables; lattice-pane glazing. Ridge
stack; slate roof with projecting eaves, decorative
bargeboards and turned wooden apex finials.
Later rear lean-to extension and swept dormer.
GATES AND FLANKING RAILINGS: pair mid 19th century cast-iron
spearhead carriage gates and matching pedestrian gate.
Flanking matching spearhead railings mounted on low ashlar
coped harled rubble wall.
