Statement of Interest

Formerly listed as The Haven. Although later than The Haven, An Cala was incorporated into The Haven. In the 1970's the 2 were divided into separate houses. Originally one room deep, the rear 2-storey dormered section and turret were added in the 1970's. The turret is not currently used as a stairtower (2001). The very thick wall between the 2 houses which is evident on the ground floor, is an interesting feature and may possibly be part of a chimney. The roof pitch of an earlier house, which stood at this spot, is visible on the W gable of The Haven. For brief history of Culross Burgh see Culross, The Cross, The Study.
