Description

Early 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 3-bay tenement with shop at ground and canted stair tower at rear. E elevation ashlar, lightly washed with render and painted at ground. W elevation harled; N elevation rubble, rendered and lined from 2nd floor. Base course. Lintel course at eaves level. Raised margins.

E (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: 5-bay shop front at ground with door in 2nd bay from right; 2-pane fixed windows in remaining bays. Regularly disposed fenestration at 1st and 2nd floors, smaller windows at 2nd floor.

W ELEVATION: stair tower, rising to serve attic, at centre with door to N, 2 windows to W. Door in bay to right; regular fenestration in remaining bays.

N ELEVATION: blocked openings at ground. 2 modern windows shapped at 1st floor.

S ELEVATION: adjined to Nos 105-111 High Street (see separate lisying).

Replacement plate glass glazing. 2 tall piended and canted slate-hung dormer windows with scalloped lead flashing detail to E pitch. Modern flat-roofed dormer window to right of W pitch. Pyramidal roof to stair window to right of W pitch. Pyramidal roof to stair tower. Coped skews. Rendered gablehead stack to N. Grey slates.
