Description

Circa 1909. 2-storey, with 1st floor breaking eaves, mirrored pair of 2-bay houses (No 5 to left, No 7, Relugas to right). W elevation bull-faced squared and coursed masonry; remaining elevations pebble-dashed. Polished ashlar dressings. Chamfered reveals, stopped before cill, at ground to W. Raised ashlar cills to pebble-dashed elevations.

W (STATION ROAD) ELEVATION: No 7; corniced and keystoned doorcase, with mannered lugged architrave, in bay to right; panelled door and plate glass fanlight; etched glass to inner door. Canted window at ground in bay to left, corbelled to tripartite bow breaking eaves at 1st floor; conical roof extended from pitch, with timber finial. No 5 identical, with door in bay to left and canted window in bay to right.

E ELEVATION: No 7; bay to left advanced to single storey with cat-slide roof, boarded door to right and window to left. Return blank. Window at ground and 1st floor in bay to right, taller at ground. No 5 identical, with bay to right advanced, except modern porch at ground in bay to right.

N (No 5) AND S (No 7) ELEVATIONS: lop-sided gables, shorter to W. Window to left and right at ground. Stair window at 1st floor, window flanking to W; leaded coloured glass to stair window to N.

Sash and case windows, largely small-pane upper sash, single pane lower; some plate glass. Flat roofed trtipartite dormer window to each, cat-slide roof. Pebble-dashed stacks, gablehead behind deep eaves to N and S, mutual below ridge to W and E pitches. Purple-grey slates. Some original rainwater goods.
