Description

James Raeburn, architect, circa 1843; 2-storey 3-bay house
with centre door masked by later square projecting porch.
Coursed tooled rubble, rubble flanks and rear, ashlar
dressings. Wide angle pilasters; tall ground floor windows;
cill band to 1st floor; moulded architraves to centre 1st
floor window; 12-pane glazing; moulded eaves cornice,
blocking course with rounded end dies. Shallow projecting
wing to rear, with later blocking course with rounded end
dies. Shallow projecting wing to rear, with later 2-storey,
2-bay addition. Paired corniced ridge stacks with original
square cans; shallow piended slate roof.
Low coped retaining wall with cast-iron spearhead railings;
square tooled ashlar end and gate piers with pyramidal caps
and ball finials; rubble garden wall.
