Description

Charles and Leslie Ower circa 1890. 2-storey and attic semi-detached villa with French renaissance Tower. Ashlar front, coursed and snecked rubble side. rubble-built rear. Elevation to street 2-bay, right-hand bay canted, bay to left bipartite. 1st floor band course. W ELEVATION: set-back bipartite wing. Re-entrant 2-storey and attic tower with ground floor porch; armorial over. Bracketted eaves. Steep swept pavilion roof formerly with wrought-iron brattishing. Gabled dormerhead window. Swept piended slate roofs. Corniced gable-end stacks. Windows sash and case, 2-pane glazing pattern, altered to UPVC. Rubble-built boundary wals with square pyramidal-capped gatepiers and wrought-iron rainings with cast-iron finials to street and to sides, partly replaced post-war.
