Description

Charles and Leslie Ower. 1890. Unusual 4-storey flat-roofed model tenement. Coursed rubble with red ashlar details in manner of Florentine gothic palazzo.

5-bay S elevation, single and bipartite. 2 nook-shafted stair doors, 1 dated, 1 with cypher H G (Henry Gourlay). Ground floor still course. 3rd floor gothic blind arcade in flat relief. Corner shop front with triple light bowed window over. Quatrefoil details to corner parapet. Single and bipartitie windows to W elevation. Plain rubble built rear.

Flat concrete roof fronted by ornate wrought-iron railings glazing pattern, some modernised.
