Description

David MacKenzie, circa 1850. 2-storey 3-bay symmetrical villa, ashlar facade, rubble-built sides and rear.

S ELEVATION: central Doric portico, details unfortunately obscured. Ground floor windows architraved, aproned and corniced. Margined 1st floor. Main cornice and blocking course.

Unfortunate railed brick retaining wall in front of main door.

Piended slate roof later heightened and dormered. Gable-end stacks. Windows sash and case, 4-pane glazing pattern.

Low boundary wall, interrupted by access to car-park. Railings missing. Square ashlar gatepiers.
