Description

J. Ireland and J MacLaren, 1874. 2-storey square-plan villa, coursed rubble. North front 3-bay with centre recess infilled by single storey porch with square-plan Doric piers on pedestals, 2 windows above. Bipartite windows in end bays with ground floor consoled cornices. 3-bay south front with central shallow advanced triple arched and keyblocked window under cornice and 2 windows above. Canted window on each side, bipartites above. 4-bay west flank, with door to conservatory, (now demolished) altered to window and 2 wallhead stacks. East flank has 2 parallel service wings, southern later raised and harled, flanking stair windows.

INTERIOR: pressed metal and wood Art Nouveau fireplace in foyer. 2 tall arched stained glass windows, well detailed, light wooden balustraded stair.
