Description

William Gauldie (Gauldie and Wright), 1938. Small brick-built harled and buttressed church. 7-bay sides with transomed and cross windows under semi-octagonal window heads.

W door with cross over. Slightly battered porch. Small louvred belfry and pitched roof and projecting eaves.

Piended and gabled slate roof. Small-paned hopper windows.

Rectory adjoins to W, linked by short passage, similarly harled brick, with steep gabled slate roof. Sash and case windows.

Statement of Interest

An ecclesiastical building in use as such. Buttresses reflect the originally proposed structure of diagonally braced timber framing and metal lath. However it was carried out in brick.
