Description

James Black 1830. Single-storey semi-detached villas forming a Regency style terrace. Harled and whitewashed with ashlar margins. Facade originally symmetrical: twin centre tripartites, entracnes set back beneath eaves and outer canted bays. Ornate cast-iron lattice work between canted bays. Large segmental-arched tripartite set-back to left with catslide roof. Canted bay to right added circa 1880.

Piended slate roofs with overhanging eaves. 2 dormers, 1 victoria, u modern. Ashlar stacks, square at wallheads. Windows sas and case, of a later 2-pane glazing pattern.

Rubble-built boundary walls. Low to front with later wrought-iron railings, high to sides (for privacy from Dundee and Newtyle Railway) and rear.

Statement of Interest

No 2 has aluminium windows (1988).
