Description

Circa 1850. 2-storey gabled villa, coursed rubble-built
with ashlar dressings.
S elevation asymmetrical. Segmental arched door in left
re-entrant angle, porch gabletted to S and to W. Advanced
gabled main bay, ground floor bipartite, bracketted
cornice, 1st floor margined and keystoned window. Canted
bay with slate roof and flanking single light to right.
Enlarged window in gable over. Gabletted single light in
W re-entrant angle. Later dormer.
Gabled slate roofs with overhanging eaves, finials removed.
Fish-scale slates to porch. Corniced stacks.
Sash and case windows, 2-pane glazing pattern at ground
floor, 1st floor upper case lying panes, 1 window modern.
High rubble-built boundary walls, coping running over
margined gateway.

Statement of Interest

Similar in some respects to the larger Reres House, Barnhill,

and 77 Constitution Road.
