Description

Probably James Black, circa 1830. 4-storey and basement

4-bay ashlar front, 6-storey coursed rubble rear.

Original pilastered and corniced ground floor, 7 bays, 3

at centre doorways, 2 blocked. 2 to either side windows

with aprons. Cill band to 2nd floor. Eaves band, wallhead

and gable-end stacks.

W gable rubble, cement rendered with pilaster returned

from front, cornice, band and pedimented gable.

Slate roof. Windows sash and case, 12-pane glazing patterns

to 2nd and 3rd floors of front and some of the rear windows. Wrought-iron railings to basement and steps.
