Description

Thomas Martin Cappon, dated 1907. Snecked, squared rubble
villa with ashlar dressings and Art Nouveau details.
S elevation: 3-storey in fall of ground, 3-bay; centre
bipartites with keystoned open segmental pediment, gabled
end bays, canted windows through ground and 1st floors,
tripartite 2nd floor windows.
N elevation: 2-storey and basement with advanced gabled
wing, latter with ground floor tripartite and consoled
corniced door, 1st floor canted timber oriel on brackets.
Main door under open segmental pedimented hood, bowed
tripartite and dated pediment over. Tripartite to left,
large stair window over.
Mutule eaves cornice. Piended and gabled slate roofs.
Rubble-built wallhead and off-centre ridge stacks.
Sash and case windows, 4- and 6-pane uppers, single-pane lower
cases to S and N gables. Small-paned casements to left of
N elevation.
Square pyramidal-capped gatepiers. Boundary wall stepped
over segmental pedimented pedestrian gate.
