Description

Circa 1839. 3-arch road bridge. Rubble whinstone and sandstone with some red brick. Segmental-arches; cutwaters, part brick at W, parapet removed.

Statement of Interest

B group with Balmossie Mill; Balmossie, Road Bridge over Dichty Water; Panmure Bleachfield, Cottages and Stable Block; Panmure Bleachfield, House/Tenement. Listed as part of the Balmossie group. Panmure bleachfield was established in 1839 by Daniel Drimmie of Aberdeen, growing out of the Balgillo bleachfield earlier held by the Wemys'. Panmure closed in 1932.
