Description

Circa 1800. 2-storey, 3-bay, double terraced house. Harled, painted margins, slate roof, stone skew with skewputts, ashlar stack with brick extension. 4-pane sash and case windows except multi-pane tripartite at 1st floor right.

S ELEVATION: off-centre door with further door blocked to form window adjoining at right, 2 flanking widely spaced windows, 3 at 1st floor.

Mutual skew at left, skew at right with ridge stack.

ENCLOSING WALL: squared rubble wall at S continuing from 9 Beach Crescent.

Statement of Interest

Incorporated with 9 Beach Crescent and 18-20 Gray Street as elderly ladies' home, formerly known as the Home of Rest, established for retired domestic servants. House shown in engraving of Beach Crescent in 1835, in Bowman.
