Description

Late 19th century. 2-storey and attic, summetrical double villa.

Tooled snecked subble sandstone with ashlar and painted dressings, grey slate roof. Sash and case windows, 2 pane with multi-pane top sashes at ground floor and gable dormerhead at 1st, 4-pane and plate glass elsewhere, stop-chamfered painted margins. Base course, margined angles, deep moulded eaves with rounded refter ends, plain bargeboards, oversailing stacks (cut down at no 308) with decorative cans, piended roof.

NO 308, E ELEVATION: door with bracketted gabled canopy at off-centre right, window at left and right, 3 windows at 1st floor.

NO 308, S ELEVATION: tripartite window at right with door framed from centre light, window at 1st floor with half-timbered and gabled dormerhead breaking through eaves; slightly advanced gabbled bay at left with canted window at ground floor (door formed from window at right), bipartite round-headed window at 1st, round-headed window at attic, 2 large brackets to bargeboards at right (missing elsewhere).

N ELEVATION: single storey projection, stair window at left, half-timbered gablehead breaking through eaves.

BOUNDARY WALL: rubble wall with round coping at S.
