Thomas Hyslop Ure, 1909. 3-storey and attic; single bay; terraced; free classical commercial building with shop at ground floor level; recessed canted bay and flanking pilasters to 1st and 2nd floors of principal (N) elevation. Red sandstone ashlar principal elevation.
N (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: late 20th shop front to ground floor extending into adjacent property to right; moulded cornice above. 1st and 2nd floors enclosed within pilastered surround with moulded projecting cornices above and below; lower one mutuled; upper one (at eaves level) modillioned. Narrow alternate flanking projecting blocks to pilasters and similar treatment to either side of elevation gives slightly rusticated effect; garlanded oval panel at apex of each pilaster. 3-light architraved windows to recessed canted bay to centre; both with aprons; lower one with cornice to central light. Shouldered gable with flanking pilasters and moulded cornice to attic; segmental-headed window with moulded architrave and keystone to centre.
2-pane timber sash and case windows to 1st and 2nd floors; 12-pane timber casement to attic. Steeply pitched grey slate roof, flattened at apex.
INTERIOR: not inspected (1998).
