Description

Late 18th century 2-storey 3-bay house with basement,
full-height wings - shallow advanced on S elevation -
added early in 19th century. Near symmetrical.
Rubble-built and painted, with contrasting ashlar
margins. South elevation: central panelled door with
decorative fanlight, pedimented doorpiece; wings
linked by cast-iron railings; left wing single bay, right
wing 2 bays. Paid 4-flue square stacks. Roof covered
with graded slates, piended over wings and
shallow-pitched at S. Tripartites in single bay W flank;
asymmetrical rear (N) elevation with 2 doors. Ashlar-coped
rubble-built walls adjoin both wings, rusticated gateway
at E side.
