(No 172) early 19th century; single bay in piended narrow S
end (gusset with Greyfriars Street); shops at ground
contained under continuous fascia. Rubble built, painted
with contrasting ashlar margins. Sash windows throughout,
No 172 with 4-pane glazing pattern, remainder with 12-pane
glazing pattern (2 blind bays). 1st floor tripartite in S end
wall with blind outer lights. Eaves/lintel band; cornice;
end stacks, slate roof.
