Description

Later 19th century. Narrow 2-storey and attic, 3-bay shop with house to rear and above. Cream rubble sandstone with painted ashlar front elevation.

NE (BLACK BULL STREET) ELEVATION: Corinthian shopfront at ground; columns frame modern door with plate glass fanlight at centre; 2-pane plate glass shop windows to flanking bays; corner pilasters; whole with base course, cornice (projecting at centre) and blocking course. 1st floor blank at centre with windows to outer bays; architrave, cornice and blocking course. Tripartite timber dormer at centre with glazed

sides and tall piended roof with swept eaves and scalloped flashing (finial missing).

SE (SIDE) ELEVATION: 3-bay. Left bay slightly advanced with window at ground. Centre bay with ashlar doorcase in re-entrant angle; block dentilled cornice, deep-set modern door with 4-pane rectangular cornice; window above. Right bay blank with wallhead stack.

SW (REAR) ELEVATION: irregular 2-bay, gabled. At ground, door to right, later timber canted window to left; windows to both bays at 1st floor and in gablehead. Apex stack. 12-pane timber sash and case windows (plate glass above side door). Piended roof to front; grey slates; brick stacks; octagonal cans.
