Description

Earlier 19th century, remodelled Kinnear and Peddie, 1887. 3-storey and attic 3-bay tenement. Grey/cream sandstone, polished ashlar ground floor, dressed ashlar with polished dressings above. Base course; ground floor bays divided by shallow pilasters; band course above ground floor; cill band course at 1st and 2nd floor; tall parapet; architraved windows, at 1st floor centre window pedimented, outer windows corniced.

SW (FRONT) ELEVATION: architraved doorway to outer right (1887) flanked by shallow Ionic pilasters and with open pediment, 2-leaf panelled door; bipartite transomed window flanking to right (1887); doorway to left of centre with 2-leaf panelled door and fanlight with radial astragals; window to outer left. Regular fenestration. Corniced and panelled tablet to centre of parapet and panelled dies terminating.

2 rectangular flat-roofed dormers.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows, small-pane windows to dormers. Slate roof with metal flashings; corniced mutual stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.
