Description

Style of David Bryce, mid 19th century. Single storey, asymmetrical, gabled lodge. Stugged, coursed sandstone with ashlar, chamfered reveals; stugged quoins.

E ELEVATION: gabled, canted bay to left corbelled to square at eaves, blank shield in gablehead; gabled porch to right with panel over door. Lower gabled wing to N with window in gable. Rendered porch addition at rear. Small windows.

N & S ELEVATIONS: advanced flue in centre of gable, small window to left and right.

Replacement plate glass. Broad-eaved roof, fish-scale slate. Circular ashlar stacks on pedestal bases with octagonal cans.

GATEPIERS: late 19th century, sandstone ashlar. Battered base with deeply moulded course between base pier; stepped entablature, scrolled features below pyramidal capping. Coped ashlar quadrant wall.

POLICY WALLS: random rubble walls adjoined to S.
