Description

Early 19th century. Four-storey classical tenement on gusset site with bowed outer bays to front. Cream stugged sandstone ashlar, with polished dressings at ground floor. Base course; band courses above ground and second floors; cornice.

NORTH-WEST (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: five-bay; centre bay with blind windows above ground floor; outer bays bowed. At ground, former shop doors and windows part blocked as domestic windows; four to centre, two to left bay, one to right (and blocked doorway).

WEST (NORTH JUNCTION STREET) ELEVATION: three-bay. four-bay at ground with windows (as above) to outer bays; pilastered and corniced doorpiece to centre left bay with modern door; secondary door opening to centre right bay with inserted modern door and surround. Shouldered wallhead stack to left.

NORTH-EAST (COUPER STREET) ELEVATION: three-bay; at ground, door to left and windows (as above) to centre and right. Painted street name. Timber sash and case 12-pane windows. One replacement to North Junction Street. Piended roof; grey slates; coped rendered stacks.
