Description

Circa 1840. 3-storey and attic on raised basement 3-bay house. Droved cream sandstone ashlar with polished dressings. Channelled, painted basement; base course; modillioned cornice. Moulded architraves, cornices at ground. Regular fenestration.

At right, straight flight of steps to Roman Doric pilastered and corniced doorpiece with panelled door with rectangular fanlight; basement door below. Pair of piend-roofed tripartite dormers.

Variety of timber windows. Grey slates; ashlar stacks; ashlar coped skews. Obtrusive cast-iron downpipes to front elevation.

WALLS, STEPS AND RAILINGS: low ashlar coped rubble wall to front; smooth rock-faced rustication to side wall and steps. Cast-iron railings, some spearheaded.
