Description

Peter Whyte (A M Rendel, consultant engineer), dated 1896. Small single storey hydraulic station with modern extension to SW. Red sandstone, squared and snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. Base course; round-arched openings; eaves band course.

W ELEVATION: gabled with lugged skewputts, 3 windows (2 now altered into rectangular opening) divided by pilaster strips; gablehead with date and cheque pattern of pilaster strips.

NE ELEVATION: 3-bay with doorway to centre, semi-circular radial fanlight; to right 3 single windows; to left bipartite window framed by pilaster strips with pedimented gable.

SW ELEVATION: as above with modern extension to left of centre.

W ELEVATION: gabled; blank.

Small-pane timber windows with semi-circular radial heads. Slate roof. Moulded eaves gutters.
