Description

1617 stepped L-plan, 3-storey and attic SE block with crenellated re-entrant stair tower 5-storey, harled and crow stepped with stone dormers, ground floor vaulted. NE wing 2-storey with sculptured dormers heads 1634, some 18th and early 19th century additions; large SW addition, MacGibbon and Ross 1891-2 (remodelling and rebuilding of Georgian wing) 2-storey and attic with angle turret, stone dormers, and

elaborate pilastered and pedimented porch with faceted rustication, bay window over at 1st floor.

Statement of Interest

Built by the Winrams of Inch later passed to the Gilmours of Craigmillar.
