Description

1877/78
Pair (1/5, 6/8) of 4-storey tenement blocks of similar
design stepped in slope. Each has continuous podium of ground
floor shops, mostly original with unaltered entablature,
later segmentally arched and keyblocked bank door-piece
of quality at no 4; frontage of floors above ashlar faced,
canted bay/3-window/canted bay 2-window, margins with moulded
arrises all floors, 3rd floor string, corbelled cills at
2nd and 3rd, cornice at 2nd floor level at the canted bays,
main cornice and slated roof.
