Description

1905 Probably Barbour, James and Bowie (Dumfries).
Asymmetrical 2-storey villa, harled with stone sills
and door architrave. South elevation has 2-single-
storey rectangular bays linked by continuous roof
with central recessed area, 2 first floor bipartites
above that on left with dormer head, that on right in
barge-boarded gable with scalloped-tile tympanum.
Asymmetrical jerkin head gable on east, curved porch
in re-entrant angle with tall candle-snuffer roof
swept back into main roof. Single-storey piended
outshot projects at north east angle. Windows small-
paned (upper parts only at bays). Cotswold stone roof
on bracketed eaves. Harled stacks.
