Description

Early 19th century. Simple classical 2-storey 3-bay house in large garden with avenue of limes. Coursed rubble with droved ashlar dressings (random rubble to sides) including long and short quoins. Base and 1st floor cill courses; eaves cornice.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: regular fenestration; projecting cills to ground floor windows. Doric porch with entablature and blocking course, tablet at centre; timber panelled door with decorative fanlight above.

SIDE AND REAR ELEVATIONS: modern conservatory adjoins to W. Harled 1st floor extension (rear section of house appears originally to have been single storey).

12-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. Graded grey slates. No visible stacks.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATEPIERS: stone-coped walls swept down to gatepiers; corniced (painted) stone gatepiers with pyramidal caps.
