Description

Circa 1850. 2-storey, 3-bay irregular-plan villa with additions to outer left; subdivided. Squared and snecked sandstone with coursed stugged ashlar to main elevation. Plain architraves; overhanging baracketted timber eaves; timber bargeboards and finials; quoin strips.

W ENTRANCE elevation: advanced timber and glass porch in central bay; glazed panelled door; shouldered-arched lights and fanlight; bracketted cornice; piended roof with wrought-iron brattishing forming balcony to gabletted 1st floor window. Single storey canted window in advanced bay to outer left; iron brattishing forming balcony to 1st floor window. Regretable timber and glass lean-to at ground to outer right; gabletted window at 1st floor above. Later single storey flat-roofed stone entrance porch adjoining to outer left.

N ELEVATION: largely obscured by later additions.

S ELEVATION: blank.

Lying-pane sash and case windows. Grey slate gabled roof; corniced gablehead stacks; snowguards to N.

INTERIOR: not seen 1991.

GATES GATEPIERS AND BOUNDARY WALLS: 2 wrought-iron pedestrian gates and pair of carriage gates with decorative floral details; 2 corniced ashlar gatepiers at boundary of property to street. Low coped doursed rubble boundary wall to street; higher mutual walls.
