Description

Late 18th-early 19th century with mid/later 19th century
kiln. Whitewashed rubble with tooled dressings. Wheel
in situ to W and frame of second wheel to E. Roof slated
with various different slates including Welsh and
Banffshire. Square pyramidal roofed ventilator.
Whitewashed rubble store and cartshed built on arches
spanning mill lade; weather-boarded 1st floor and slate
roof.

Statement of Interest

Site of various corn mills since at least 13th century. Also

site of former brewery. Restored 1980.
