Description

2 terraces of tenements; W. range (10-30) circa 1850;
E. range (3-25) circa 1865. 3 storeys, attics and
basement. Polished ashlar, mostly painted at ground.
Steps oversailing basement to architraved and corniced
doorpieces with fanlights. All windows architraved;
aproned at ground; corniced at 1st floor. Sash
windows; 12-pane glazing. Band course over ground,
string course at 1st and 2nd floor cills; eaves cornice;
deep plain parapet. Axial stacks; slate roofs.
Cast-iron railings to steps and basement, some damaged.
No 10; advanced 2-bay pavilion similarly detailed. Nos.
15 and 19, steps removed and doors lowered. Surviving
cast-iron lamp bracket at No 17.
