Description

J T Rochead; 1858. Park church demolished, tower
remains as important landmark especially in conjunction
with Trinity College towers. Painted ashlar, square
gothic tower in 4 stages with angle buttresses rising to
tall pinnacles at angles. Portal at E under triangular
gable. Pointed arch doorpiece with dogtooth/ball flower
moulding and nook shafts. Lower wall surface plain with
small lancet windows. 3rd stage with hood moulded
lancets. Corbel course to 4th stage with 2 gablet 2-
light windows. Roof line of tower with angle and
intermediate pinnacles linked by pinnacle parapet.
