Description

Circa 1859 range of 2 houses: 2-storeys, attics and
basement; 6 bays. Polished ashlar, channelled at ground,
stonecleaned. Paired central Roman Doric pilaster
doorpieces. No 27 modern door. No 29 deeply recessed
tripartite door with pilastered jambs, sidelight and
fan light. Upper windows architraved; sash windows; 6-
pane glazing. Band course between floors; eaves cornice,
blocking course. Axial stacks, slate roofs. Piended
dormers with pilastered windows.

Statement of Interest

Oakfield Avenue formerly Wilson Street. Similar in

detail to 21-25 Glasgow Street. Part of Oakfield

Avenue (odd nos) B Group.
