Description

Circa 1890. Thomsonesque astylar tenement block; 4 storeys and basement. Polished ashlar, banded at ground. Doorpieces in groups of 3 with squat Egyptian- style pilasters supporting corncie with disc detail. 1st floor windows with consoled cornice. Modern 2-pane pivot

windows. Continuous band/cill course at 1st; cornice over 2nd now mainly removed; cill course to 3rd; heavy bracketted main cornice. Axial stacks slate roofs (re- roofed circa 1980). 7-bay flank to South Woodside Place; tall centrally placed corniced doorpiece, detail similar

to Park Road elevation. Single pedimented window above door.

Interior: much altered circa 1980; some original cast- iron stair balusters survive.
