D-shaped garden surrounded by Queen's Crescent (John
Bryce, 1840). Low ashlar wall around garden with
modern railings. Central feature of garden: ornamental
tiered High Renaissance fountain, now disused with
flowers in basin. Mainly ashlar, with some cast-iron
spouts. Wide octagonal outer basin, lesser inner basin,
with central fountainhead rising in 3 stages. Richly
carved base supports classical urn-type basin. Topmost
basin supported by four cast-iron dolphins.
