Description

Circa 1840, 4 symmetrical blocks of 5-bay tenements; 4
storeys and basement. Polished ashlar, channelled at
ground. Steps oversailing basement to doorpieces with
recessed reveals and fanlights. End bays of each 5-bay
block all bipartite windows, otherwise single light. All
windows above ground architraved; aproned and corniced
at 1st, corniced at 2nd. Sash windows 4-pane or plate
glass glazing. Band course over ground and at eaves;
plain main cornice. Axial stacks, slate roofs. Modern
cast-iron railings to steps and basement. Canted stone
stair with cast-iron balusters; tiled close.
