Description

Circa 1850; related to Queen's Crescent by John Bryce.
Astylar terraced tenements; 3-storeys and basement;
advanced terminal pavilions. 34 bays arranged 5-24-5.
Polished ashlar, channelled at ground, partly painted.
Steps oversailing basements to paired pilastered
doorpieces, recessed door with pilastered reveals and
fanlight. All upper windows architraved; corniced at 1st
floor; pedimented at pavilions. Sash windows, most
12-pane glazing patterns. Moulded string-course over
ground; band course at 3rd floor cills; eaves cornice;
blocking course; deep plain parapet at pavilions.
Wallhead and axial stacks; slate roofs. Cast-iron
railings to basement area and steps; partly damaged.
5-bay flank to St George's Road detailed as pavilions.
Shops at ground. Central doorpiece; architraved,
consoled and corniced.
