Description

Circa 1874. Classically detailed villa, 2 storeys and attic.

Polished ashlar (stonecleaned), with polished ashlar basecourse. To NW projecting single storey wing; to NE conservatory.

S elevation: 2-bay with full-height canted windows, corniced and with cill band to each floor. E elevation 3-bay with single storey porch to right supported on rusticated piers and depressed arch glazed panels. Double-leaf door. To left, consoled corniced bipartite window to ground. All 1st floor windows architraved; that to left bipartite. Sash windows, plate glass glazing. Strings at eaves; mutule main cornice; corniced parapet. Slate roofs; tall corniced wallhead and axial stacks, octagonal flues.

W elevation: lightly stugged ashlar, bipartite windows with stone mullions. Single storey wing to rear; polished ashlar with pedimented aedicular window to centre. Corniced with deep parapet; piended slate roof. To left, single storey garage with folding doors flanked by tall square ashlar piers with cornice and mutule eaves. Large full-height modern brick extension to N.

To NE good timber and glass conservatory supported on polished ashlar basecourse.

Low coped ashlar wall to garden, at E supporting modern cast-iron railings; 2 pairs of corniced ashlar gatepiers to S and E.
