Description

E G Wylie (Wright and Wylie), 1924. Detached house showing the

influence of J J Burnet. 2-storey, asymmetrical house on

corner site. Snecked yellow ashlar with polished dressings.

Original glazing replaced with modern pvc variety, one

window enlargement at rear. N (entrance) elevation: at left,

keystoned door set under prominently voussoired arch with

carved panel above. Advanced gable to right with

strapwork-headed window at ground, 2 small 1st floor windows;

gable breaks wallhead and has stumpy angle finials and

stylised aedicate at apex.

W ELEVATION: 2 wide bays with large canted window at left.

Adjoining the rear elevation octagonal conservatory with 2 low projections. Arched glaxing in E and W facing sections.

Deep eaves, bellcast slate roof, no stacks.
