Description

Circa 1892. Terraced row of mews cottages;

N0 29: John Morrison, architect, 1892. Single storey and attic cottages, stugged ashlar with broached margins. Single light sash and case windows with 4-pane or plate glass glazing. Vehicle entrances to ground with timber folding-leaf doors. Bold gables with gabled dormers, timber bracketted eaves, ceramic cresting. Corniced axial stacks.

NO 7 : corbels support projecting lintel over door. To left, corbelled projecting stack with relief horses head in roundel. Gable wall with 5-light mullioned and transomed window.

NO 13: 2 bipartite dormer windows.

NO 21: vehicle entrances blocked, windows inserted. Gable to main elevation with hood-moulded depressed-arch window.

NO 35: William Tennant, 1892. 2-storey L-plan cottage set back from lane behind high boundary wall; depressed-arch windows with roll-moulded lintel.
